WHAT IS THE CIRCULAR ECONOMY?
ORGANIC WASTE COLLECTION
Organic waste is the first step in the circular economy. Bartels Environmental supports removal, transportation, equipment maintenance, and monitoring of organic waste material.
Organic waste is now being used to produce energy. In that process, an extremely nutrient rich byproduct is created – this is digestate – an entirely sustainable resource.
Sometimes, more digestate is produced than can be land applied. In these instances it can be stored in lagoons or manure pits for later application.
This critical task ends one cycle, and begins the next. The remnants of the previous cycle enhance the generation of new organic materials.
