WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR?

The Sales Representative will work to improve Bartels Environmental Services Inc. (hereafter BESI) market position and achieve financial growth by increasing sales opportunities and maximizing revenue, with a specific focus on liquid organic waste recycling and collection from small independent food processing businesses to large commercial food manufacturers.

Job Duties

  • Analysis, research, organize, harvest, and develop customers / prospects
  • Acquire and maintain a thorough knowledge of the current market, market changes, the solutions/services BESI can provide, new market opportunities and the company’s competitors
  • Prospect for new clients by networking, cold calling, advertising or other means of generating interest from potential clients.
  • Track sales activity daily in CRM system and provide report weekly
  • Qualify new sales opportunities through market research and identify potential clients
  • Provide sales information, quotes, and support to clients and prospects
  • Answer incoming calls from potential clients. Be available 7am to 7pm daily for phone calls from clients.
  • Prepare, track and monitor tender submissions & bid packages
  • Maintain a high level of service to existing customers; managing the customer relationship from contract execution through delivery to after sales service; and soliciting referrals from these customers, where possible.
  • Attend trade shows and industry events; always maintain professionalism, tact, diplomacy and sensitivity to represent and portray the company in a positive manner
  • Keep up to date on new products and services, competitors, and industry activities
  • Keep accurate sales reports and database information utilizing the CRM software
  • Assist in the billing process and generate data used for KPI’s
  • Assist with targeted sales marketing campaigns
  • Create and manage revenue goals and provide monthly revenue updates to the General Manager, including new business activity.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions

  • Monday to Friday between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Must be available and accessible by phone and email after regular business hours
  • Flexible schedule to meet with customers outside of regular business hours
  • Frequent local travel is required, often up to several hours of driving per day
  • Ability to visit all company facilities and attend meetings throughout Ontario
  • Required to keep daily log of kilometers

Job Requirements

  • 3-5 years of sales experience
  • Post-secondary education in business or related field of study
  • Responds positively to pressure and a fast-paced environment
  • Competitive, persuasive and driven to get things done
  • Outgoing and people-oriented
  • Customer service focused
  • Effective presentation skills and positive communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and CRM Software

Reporting to the General Manager, the primary role of the General Labourer is to load and unload trucks, spread material and operate farm equipment/tools.

  • Outdoor work, exposed to all types of weather conditions
  • Physical demands, working with heavy materials
  • Long days depending on season and weather

  • Safety oriented
  • Physically fit and hard-working
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience operating heavy machinery and farm equipment is considered an asset

Bartels Environmental Services specializes in the liquid haulage of nutrient rich material from waste water treatment plants and other commercial clients.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Licensed and experienced AZ Driver
  • Clean Drivers Abstract
  • Liquid Heavy Haul Experience preferred
  • Preferred experience with pumps and hydraulics
  • Proven leadership skills
  • Efficient team player, safe, and professional
